FAILURE by Carl Scharwath

The flame will be ignited, its
soothing amber glow will seduce me
to look into the burning colors
of a life past and the dying embers of a mistake.

The brightness, the brilliant scintillating luster
can only capture my vision of a future
Inflamed with optomisim, love and hope
Perhaps my life can be saved?

With this fire nothing will come
because nothing truly is
Loyalty will fail in the echoed words
Of our life together.

The past will never arrive
The future will drown
The present dsguised in the ephithay
We will fail each other.
